Home Made Biodeisel

What Is Biodiesel?

Biodiesel is made from vegetable oil or animal fat and runs the majority of diesel engines without modification. Since Biodiesel is biodegradable it is much better for our environment than its counterpart fossil fuel. Biodiesel has also been shown to produce lower tailpipe emissions than regular fossil fuel diesel. Because biodiesel is that it is made from plants and animals, it is a renewable resource.
Any kind of vegetable or animal fat can be used for Biodiesel although soybean and rapeseed oil is the most common new oil to be used. Perhaps the least expensive oil to use is used cooking oil form the home and from local restaurants which are usually all to willing to sell at a low price or even give away the used oil just to get rid of it.
